Dr. Annie Gibson

Annie Headshot-23I first developed an interest in naturopathic medicine while completing my undergraduate degree in biology and psychology at Trinity Western University. Frustrated by a lack of energy and digestive difficulties, I booked an appointment with a naturopathic doctor. I was encouraged in my visit and thrilled to regain my digestive health and energy over time. I realized too, that naturopathic medicine could help me in resolving the abuse my knees had suffered dancing competitively throughout childhood and adolescence. With continued care, I strengthened my knees and returned to hiking and running. I was enlightened and inspired by this sustainable approach! A tenacious learner with a penchant for medicine, I set out to become a naturopathic doctor and help others regain their health. I completed my training at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine.

I am a primary care physician with special interests in: physical medicine (athletic injuries, overuse injuries, general aches and pains), digestive health (bloating, food sensitivity, constipation, diarrhea, IBS), hormonal health (perimenopause, PMS, PCOS, thyroid conditions), children’s health (allergies, eczema, digestive disturbance, behavioural difficulty)

To further help my patients with stubborn joint and ligament injuries, I have taken further training in advanced injection therapy (prolotherapy, neural therapy). I value laboratory testing for diagnostic accuracy and use research-based treatments. My training allows me to treat conditions using both naturopathic and conventional approaches, including prescription medications when necessary.

It is my goal to encourage and empower others to find and cultivate the intersections of their own health and passions, to help you get back to what you love!
