Our Team

Our Treatments & Services

  • Our Naturopathic doctors are trained to provide both primary care and complementary medicine to our patients. ND’s treat the underlying cause of disease through the art and science of supporting the natural healing processes of the patient and removing any obstacles to those processes when possible.

Our clinic’s practitioners are committed to continually learning and evolving as naturopathic physicians and are driven to work with patients, as well as their existing medical team, to resolve the hidden causes of chronic disease. Our NDs work with patients to adapt treatments to each patient’s unique lifestyle choices.

All naturopathic doctors at A New Leaf have prescription authority.

  • IV Therapy is the infusion of specific substances directly into your circulation through the access of a vein close to the surface of your skin.

This allows for direct introduction of medicines or substances into your system without requiring absorption of these substances in your gut.

  • From back pain to shoulder mobility issues, headaches and other aliments — chiropractic care can be an effective treatment for many problems! Most people today are aware of chiropractic’s ability to reduce pain and promote healing from injury.

Conditions treated include, but are not limited to:

    Acute & chronic injuries

    Whiplash

    Headaches

    Neck and back pain

    Sciatica

    TMJ dysfunction

    IT band syndrome

    Carpal tunnel syndrome

    Athletic injuries

    Repetitive overuse injuries

    Pregnancy-related discomfort

  • Acupuncture is a system of healing that has developed over the last 3000 years. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, there are 12 main and 8 secondary pathways on the human body called meridians which conduct the flow of energy, or chi (pronounced “chee”). These meridians connect over 2000 acupuncture points.

By stimulating these points, acupuncturists can balance the body, regulating the physical, mental, and emotional aspects of the body that are influenced by yin and yan—opposing forces that, when balanced, will work together with the unblocked flow of chi to help the body achieve and maintain optimum health.

At A New Leaf we use only stainless steel disposable needles so there is no risk of infection. The procedure is relatively painless, with small round tipped needles being inserted into various acupuncture point sites. A typical acupuncture appointment usually lasts about 20 minutes.

  • Injection therapies allow the precise delivery of medicines directly to the tissues that need it. Injection appointments are typically 5-minute visits where vitamins injections are inserted into your deltoid or glute muscle for quick and effective absorption into the bloodstream.

  • Our clinic is proud to provide blood draws in house – no more waiting in line at a busy Lifelabs! We offer extensive testing through blood, saliva, breath, urine, and stool samples to see what’s happening in your body. This allows accurate diagnosis and monitoring of treatment success.

  • Pelvic and breast exams are an important component of female health care. Naturopathic doctors are trained to perform both cervical and breast exams (including pap testing) and the BC Cancer Agency ensures that pap tests are a free service. If you’ve had a bad experience in the past, or are nervous about your pap tests, book with your ND for a more gentle, informative approach.

  • Diet is a foundational aspect of health. As naturopathic doctors, we are thoroughly trained in nutrition and can help you determine your nutrient requirements (including calories, vitamins, minerals, and macronutrient counts) to optimize your diet and performance, as well as discuss the pros and cons of a specific diet (think: ketogenic, paleo, vegan or vegetarian) for you and your health needs.

  • ElaProMed is a painless, non-invasive treatment of transdermalporation technology which delivers solutions directly into the dermis.

This treatment can be used to target skin concerns such as acne and pigmentation, scalp concerns/Hair Growth, and pain management.
